Alex & Jack - Sand Dunes Couples Session

Couple playing together on sand dunes at Anna Bay

Do you know what one of the best things to do in Port Stephens is?

Visit the Anna Bay sand dunes in Port Stephens.

Not only are they vast and incredibly beautiful, but there are also amazing activities you can do like sandboarding, camel rides, and 4WD adventures. Not to mention they have a killer view of the sunrise or sunset in Port Stephens. And with their unique desert landscapes, they make for a great setting for a couples photoshoot.

Couples photography session on sand dunes at Anna Bay Port Stephens

I've known Alex for a few years, and we had previously worked on a shoot together before. Recently engaged, Jack decided to gift her a couples session to celebrate, and we got to planning. After a few unlucky reschedules due to rain, we managed to get a session in on the Anna Bay sand dunes about 5 minutes before it bucketed down!

Alex really wanted to embrace their laidback and fun personalities for their session, and we did exactly that. We spent the afternoon running (and falling) across the Anna Bay sand dunes, and I spent the majority of the time realising how unfit I was :) The two of them laughed and joked around with each other, relaxing into the session and the fun of it all.

At the end of our session, they both decided to run and jump down the dunes together. Honestly, I'm surprised neither of them broke an ankle! But this was true to their nature of being such a fun-loving couple... at least it would be a broken ankle together ;)

Such a great session with these guys, and well worth the wait of a few reschedules.

I'm sure their wedding will be one to remember!
